The importance of Clinical Testing

In today’s society, there are many products, especially cosmetics, that come into contact with the skin daily, often for extended periods. Therefore, it’s important that the products we apply to our skin are safe and actually deliver the results you expect.

WHY DO WE TEST?

We continually conduct thorough and independent clinical tests to ensure that our products provide the best possible results with proven efficacy and safe ingredients. All products that have undergone testing are labeled on their product pages.

VI NEVER TEST ON ANIMALS!

Test methods involving animal testing are fortunately banned, and we are strongly against them. Since the results of so-called cell culture tests are limited when applied to humans, testing under medical super-vision is required from an ethical and scientific standpoint.

Our studies are extensive and involve a large group of people using the products over a specified period.

WHO DO WE TEST?

We conduct a so-called monocentric clinical study over a total period of four weeks, which includes 20 women per product, aged 40 to 76, who have visible wrinkles. None of the participants have a history of using prescription/medical skincare, Botox, or fillers on their skin.

HOW AND WHERE DO WE TEST?

Participants in the study are asked to use the product for a specified period, and the researchers will then measure the results based on various factors such as moisture, elasticity, wrinkle reduction, and other indicators of skin health.

Our tests are conducted in Germany by an independent and reputable laboratory called Dermatest. We have achieved their «5-star seal of excellence» in all the tests we have had performed.

WHAT DOES «DERMATOLOGY TESTED» MEAN?

Being «dermatologically tested» means that the product has been tested by a dermatologist or an independent laboratory to ensure that it is safe for use on the skin.

TO SUM IT UP…

The purpose of a clinical study on skincare products is to determine whether a product is safe and effective for treating skin issues and improving the appearance of the skin.

During a dermatological test, the laboratory examines the ingredients in the product to ensure that they are not harmful to the skin, and they also test the product on a group of volunteers with different skin types to assess its effects and tolerance.

A clinical study is a scientific investigation that examines the effectiveness and safety of a skincare product on human skin. The study can range from simple observations to thorough scientific tests, with the aim of collecting data on how the product works on people.
