Back in 2004, she asked her first laboratory to formulate her products without parabens—long before it became a standard industry concern. Despite initial resistance from the lab, Linda’s insistence set the foundation for our ongoing commitment to safety and innovation.

All of our formulas are evaluated annually to ensure they remain free of ingredients that may no longer meet the highest safety standards. In 2023, we updated all products containing sun filters after new research flagged a filter previously considered safe. Linda Johansen Skincare has always been, and will always remain, 100% cruelty-free. We never test our products or ingredients on animals, and neither do our suppliers or sub-suppliers. Additionally, we do not sell our products in countries where animal testing is required by law.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging. Over the years, we have made significant changes to minimize waste and prioritize recyclable materials:

  • Whenever possible, we source components and packaging locally to reduce our carbon footprint and remain proud members of Grønt Punkt Norge, taking responsibility for the collection and recycling of packaging materials.
  • Transitioning from plastic to glass where possible for easier recycling.
  • Phasing out plastic wrap on boxes.
  • Using airless jars to preserve product quality and reduce the need for preservatives.
  • Shipping orders in recycled cardboard boxes, with recycled tissue paper, and supporting the ECO-Packaging Alliance for reforestation efforts.
